PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fl. — Nearly 100 residents and staff members at HarborChase of Palm Beach Gardens, started receiving the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, January 18th. The pfizer vaccine was administered via Walgreens and will return to the community for the next dose on February 8th.
“We’re excited we’re very elated that we have a date, we can answer people’s questions,” said Russell Phillips Director of Resident Care at Harborchase of Germantown.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) -Right now, the Moderna vaccine is going to nursing homes and assisted living facilities in South Carolina. The newest numbers show almost 180 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in these facilities in the state. There are 930 active COVID-19 cases inside nursing homes across the Palmetto State.
Jeanne Fortier lives at Harborchase, a nursing home in Dr. Phillips. She may be 86 years old, but this year she feels like a kid at Christmas, “I’m excited, the only thing I want for Christmas is a vaccine!”
